1. Keep your phone safe
A good place to start is by doing what you can to keep your beloved possessions out of harm’s way. It’s worth investing in a phone case or a laptop bag to avoid any damage from general wear and tear. You can also have a bit of fun choosing a stylish case or cover – there are a great range of colourful phone cases available online, so you don’t have to be restricted by a boring design.
2. Avoid putting your phone in your back pocket
Convenient as it might be, try not to leave your phone in the back pocket of your trousers or jeans. Even if it feels safe, there’s nothing to stop someone leaning across and pinching it from you without you realising. Not only that, but by leaving your phone in your back pocket there’s also a risk (unsurprisingly) that it’s going to be sat on.
Try and remain on the safe side by popping your phone in a safe place, zipped up and out of sight.
3. Use a screen protector
Ever wondered, “should I use a screen protector?” It was probably just a passing thought, and you more than likely came to the conclusion that you didn’t need one because you always take special care of your gadgets.

Don’t rely on simply locking your phone, laptop or tablet - ensure you have gone into your settings and added a passcode to prevent anyone from picking up your gadget and having immediate access. Make sure you choose a passcode which isn’t easy to guess, for example, your birthday. The longest passcodes are usually the most difficult to crack.

Unfortunately, even if you follow all of this advice, mishaps can still occur.
