Travel insurance with medical conditions
If you have a pre-existing medical condition, you may need additional cover for your trip.
A pre-existing medical condition is an illness or injury that you are aware of at the time you take out your travel insurance policy. This includes any medical condition to which you have been prescribed medication or for which you have received, or are waiting to receive, treatment (including surgery, tests or investigations) within the last 2 years. If you have a pre-existing medical condition not covered by Endsleigh below, please visit the Freedom Insurance tab for more information on our medically informed partner agent. If you have any of the medical conditions listed below, you will be covered automatically under our standard travel insurance policy (even if you have been prescribed, or are waiting to receive, medication or treatment in the last 2 years). Acid reflux; Acne; Allergy (requiring non-prescriptive treatment only); Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD); Broken bones (except back and skull); Cataracts; Colds or influenza; Dyspepsia; Eczema; Gout; Hayfever; Hysterectomy (provided carried out more than 6 months ago); Irritable bowel syndrome; Menopause; Migraine; Psoriasis; Tonsillitis; Underactive thyroid; Varicose veins. If you have any of the conditions listed above, or do not suffer from any pre-existing medical conditions, please continue to get a quote with Endsleigh.
We are unable to provide cover for any of the following conditions (whether controlled or not) where you have ever suffered from: Cardiovascular conditions (any condition relating to the heart, arteries, veins or blood pressure); Respiratory conditions (relating to the lungs or breathing); Stroke; Cancer; Crohn’s disease; Epilepsy; High cholesterol; Diabetes. It’s important to let us know if you are aware of a pre-existing medical condition, as not doing so could invalidate your travel insurance policy in the event of a claim. If you’re unsure as to whether your medical condition is covered, please contact us to discuss your quote. If you have a pre-existing medical condition included in the list above, please click on the next tab to find out more about Freedom Insurance, our medically informed partner agent.
If you have a pre-existing medical condition that is NOT covered by our travel insurance policies, please contact our medically informed partner agent, Freedom Insurance.
