If there are no changes to your cover, you can just renew in one click! It’s that easy.
You can renew in one click anytime before your policy expires, your policy will just continue from your renewal date and will take into account any no claims discount you may have already earned. If you click ‘Renew my policy for me’ in the renewal email and your policy has already expired we will set up a new policy for you. The new policy will start from the date we received your request. Cover cannot be backdated.
To process your request, we’ve assumed that:
If this is not correct, for example you're now living in university owned accommodation, halls or a family home, or if you need to change your personal details or cover please retrieve your renewal quote online and make the necessary changes.
Processing your request
Once we’ve received your request to renew your policy we’ll process it within 3 working days.
If we’re unable to renew your policy, we'll attempt to call you and email you within 1 working day.
You can continue your cover if you have graduated and are living in shared accommodation. However, there are some elements of cover that will not apply as you are no longer studying, such as:
Paying for your renewal
We'll make one attempt to take payment using the card details you provided last year. If the payment was taken using someone else's card then please ensure you have permission to use it for renewal. By renewing in one click you accept that you are entering into a contract with an underwriter for an insurance product and are responsible for arranging payment of the required premium.
If you use someone else’s payment details to fund the premium, you are entering into a separate contract with someone else for this. This could be a parent, guardian, friend, a premium finance company or someone else.
If your bank details have changed or the payment card details you used have expired you will not be able to renew in one click, please retrieve your renewal quote online and make the necessary changes.
We’ll try to contact you within 1 working day if we are having trouble with processing payment and no more than 2 times over 2 working days. We'll also email you using the email address that has been used for your renewal. If we are unable to contact you and confirm your policy details within 5 working days we will not be able to renew your policy and you will not be covered.

If you click to renew your policy in one click and your policy has expired we will not backdate cover, instead your policy will be set up from the date on which you clicked.
