What does gap year and work abroad insurance cover?
Cancellation and curtailment
Up to £5,000 if your client has to cancel or postpone their travel plans due to injury, illness or a family bereavement. We'll also pay up to £250 for any pre-paid excursions.
Medical expenses
Medical expenses and the cost of repatriation, if medically necessary, up to £10,000,000.
Baggage
Up to £2,500 to replace damaged, lost or stolen bags and their contents, including up to £350 for any valuables.
Personal money
Cover for any personal money that is lost, damaged or stolen up to the amount specified in your policy wording.
Delayed departure
Up to £100 if departure from or to your client’s home country is delayed from the final departure point for at least 12 hours as a result of an insured event.
Transport
Cover for additional transport costs up to £500 if your client misses their public transport to or from their home country as a result of an insured event.
