About the policy

  • The Endsleigh rent guarantee policy is underwritten by ARAG, market leaders in this type of insurance

  • One policy covers the entire property, meaning that all tenants are covered under the same policy

  • We understand that the length of tenancies can be different, which is why you can choose from either a 6 or a 12 month policy

  • We offer two levels of cover for you to choose from, standard or gold

  • We provide legal cover as standard on each policy, giving you access to a panel of solicitors to provide you with legal help and advice on a range of matters, not limited to letting a property

In order to purchase a standard policy, you must have a tenancy agreement in place and your tenant must have been successfully referenced. Standard cover includes:

Rent Guarantee cover:

  • Recovery of rent arrears - paid for a maximum of 5 months out of 6 on both a 6 and 12 month policy

Legal expenses cover:

  • Up to £15,000 worth of cover
  • Disputes relating to repossession and eviction
  • Disputes relating to the recovery of rent arrears
  • Legal costs and expenses for rent arrears and eviction

Additional information:

  • The excess on the standard policy is equal to one month’s rent
  • As standard, you’ll have access to a panel of solicitors to provide you with legal help and advice on a range of matters, not limited to letting a property

In order to purchase a gold policy, you must have a tenancy agreement in place and your tenant must have been successfully referenced. Gold cover includes:

Rent Guarantee cover:

  • Recovery of rent arrears;
     - Paid for a maximum of 5 months out of 6 on a 6 month policy
     - Paid for a maximum of 11 months out of 12 on a 12 month policy
  • Payment of 50% rent for 3 months between the successful eviction and you finding new tenants

Legal expenses cover:

  • Up to £50,000 worth of cover
  • Disputes relating to repossession and eviction
  • Disputes relating to the recovery of rent arrears
  • Prosecution defence cover if the tenant takes you to court
  • Accommodation expenses cover – up to £75 a day for a month in the event you are trying to regain possession of your property
  • Property damage, nuisance and trespass cover  (excess £250)
  • Legal costs and expenses for rent arrears and eviction
