Endsleigh strengthens its senior leadership across Education and Not-for-Profit

Endsleigh Insurance, a Howden company, today announced a number of strategic appointments to its Senior Leadership Team in support of a new 3 Things growth strategy focused on going deep and wide into the Student, Education and Not-for-Profit sectors.

In a move to build upon Endsleigh's reputation for excellence and strengthen the business’ ability and agility in responding to diverse client insurance needs across the Education sector from Independent Schools, Academies, Universities, FE Colleges and Language Schools, two senior Executive Director roles have been created to span the education specialism. In addition, the new role of Business Development Director, Education & Not-for-Profit will focus on unlocking new adjacent markets adding incremental value to our customers and partners.

  • Jon Taylor will shortly join Endsleigh as Executive Director, Education Division. Jon brings a wealth of specialist experience within the education insurance market having previously worked within education specialisms at both Marsh and JLT. His experience and expertise will add to an already exceptional team focused on building market leading insurance solutions for clients in all education sectors.

  • Will Brunwin is appointed Executive Director, Education Division. Will has contributed significantly to the Endsleigh business for many years, and more recently has served as an interim member of the Senior Leadership Team. Will takes responsibility for leading our expert sales and account management teams offering B2B2C insurance solutions for a wide range of education clients from prestigious Independent Schools, to leading Language Schools, and key Further and Higher Education institutions.

  • Phil Garner is appointed Business Development Director, Education & Not-for-Profit. Phil has a long history of adding value to clients and opening adjacent markets for Endsleigh. His knowledge, expertise and contacts throughout the Education and Not-for-Profit sector are vast. Most recently Phil has also been an interim member of the Senior Leadership Team leading both Not-for-Profit and Education commercial (which will transition to Jon Taylor).

Endsleigh continues to invest in a people-first growth strategy of promoting talent from within the organisation, while strengthening capability with external hires, both of which are central to enabling an ambitious growth strategy. Further investment is planned in key capability to deliver value to clients and partners, while opening development opportunities within Endsleigh and the wider Howden Group.

Alison Meckiffe, CEO Endsleigh Insurance, comments on the appointments: “As we congratulate Will and Phil on their internal promotions, we greet Jon with great excitement. Together, Will, Phil and Jon, will harness the entrepreneurial talent of our team as we continue to deliver client and partner value enabled by a focus on empowerment and a People First approach.”
