What is your role at Glide?

I head up our business development team, with the aim of creating and building long term relationships with HMO (Houses of Multiple Occupation) and student landlords, as well as property investors and letting agents. I manage both internal and external sales teams as well our dedicated account management team that look after our customers on a day to day basis.

If you had to describe what your organisation does in one paragraph what would you say?

Glide delivers one simple monthly bill for all utilities and services, both for tenants in shared accommodation wanting to pay only their share, and for landlords or letting agents with a portfolio of rental properties who want to cut down their admin and offer rent inclusive of bills.

 

Who are your main customers?

Our main customers are Landlords and Letting Agents who specialise in shared accommodation with a particular focus on the student market.

What one thing do you want your customers to think about you?

We want our customers to know that it really is our mission to make their lives simple by reducing the admin and stress that comes with multiple bills. We can help to take a weight off peoples’ shoulders by offering a simple solution to a complex problem.

 

What is your company vision?

We want to make life simple for our customers so that they have more time to do the things they love.

 

How do you work with Endsleigh?

We started working with Endsleigh because we really wanted to be able offer both our student and business customers an insurance option to go with our package of household utilities and services.

We are always keen to partner with companies that share a similar sense of values and ethos so that we can continue to add value for our customers, and Endsleigh fits the bill perfectly.

 

What wouldn’t people know about your company?

Glide’s owners James Villarreal and Sandeep Krishan set the company up whilst they were still at university.

The idea behind Glide was born when they met in a student bar one day and had a conversation about how many problems there are with paying bills in shared accommodation.

 

Do you tweet? 

I’m not a massive tweeter but when I do it’s usually about either Glide, food or football… Generally my three favourite things!

My last tweet was about a blog we featured in on RightMove. We’ve just undertaken a piece of research to discover exactly what students seek, and found out that 71.9% of students rated inclusive bills as either an essential or important factor when choosing a property.
