** For each consecutive year that you don't make a claim, you earn a discount on your next policy saving you up to a maximum of 25% after 5 years.

  • Cover for items in your room
    • NEW for OLD cover (for example we'll replace your stolen desktop computer with a brand new model)
    • Up to £2,000 cover for individual items (including desk top PCs and Hi-fi)
    • Up to £600 cover for groups of items such as CDs and DVDs
    • Musical instruments up to £600 - if you need more cover simply select either Laptop and Portable Electrical items or items you take out of your room
    • All your things are covered on the direct journey between home and university at the beginning and end of each term
    • Clothes automatically covered plus up to £250 cover for individual items like coats!
  • Items you take out of your room
    Cover for theft, accidental loss or damage to items such as jewellery, watches, glasses, bags and sports equipment, anywhere in the UK and for up to 30 days worldwide.
  • Bike
    Cover for your bike against theft, damage or accidental loss. For bikes valued at more than £400 a specialist policy covering bikes up to £1500 is available.
  • The following cover is included free (where cover for items in your room is selected)
    • 24 hour helpline, provides advice and counselling on health, drugs, contraception, debt, housing, legal and welfare matters
    • your personal legal liability - £1,000,000
    • your liability for loss or damage to meters, non portable phones (£150), college library books (£200); college property on loan (£500); landlord's property (£5,000) (excludes accidental damage)
    • theft of money from your room following forcible entry (£50), credit cards (£500)
    • injury and damage to possessions by mugging or assault - £5,000
    • death by accident of parent/guardian - £5,000
  • Accidental damage
    • Extends your contents cover to include accidental damage in your room
    • NEW for OLD cover (for example we'll replace your damaged desktop computer with a brand new model of similar specification)
  • Vacation Cover
    Extends your contents to cover your belongings, up to your contents sum insured, left in your room in unoccupied accommodation whilst away on any holiday - for up to 35 days per vacation.
  • Laptop and Portable Electrical Items
    Cover for theft, accidental loss or damage to items such as laptops, MP3s, PDAs, and cameras in your room, anywhere in the UK and for up to 30 days worldwide (excludes mobile phones).
  • Mobile phone
    Cover for your phone against theft, damage or accidental loss, plus airtime abuse up to £150 (excludes PDAs).
  • Tuition Fees and Rent Protection
    Covers tuition fees and any residential fees you have paid or are liable to pay in the academic year up to £20,000 maximum, if as a result of your illness, death or accident you have to leave your course early, or if a parent/guardian on whom you rely for financial support suffers redundancy or illness forcing them to discontinue their financial support.
  • Legal Expenses
    Up to £50,000 for defending claims against you; claiming against other people for damage or injury they cause you, and tenancy disputes.
