• Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme (MiDAS), organised by the Community Transport Association (CTA)
• CommunityDriver, organised by the CTA for people wishing to gain the PCV D1 minibus driving entitlement. This is especially designed for non-professional drivers - teachers, community workers and volunteers driving community minibuses, local authority care home staff and college tutors - to get the licence they need to drive mini-buses.

More about the PCV D1 Driving Test

You will need to pass the PCV D1 Driving test if:

1. You passed your car driving test after 31 December 1996 and you receive a wage whilst driving the minibus
2. You are employed by a school or college and driving the minibus is part of your job
3. The minibus has a gross vehicle weight over 3,500kg (4,250kg if wheelchair accessible)
4. You have not held a driving licence for two ears
5. The minibus is used to tow a trailer.
