The Endsleigh Approach

Founded in 1965 by the National Union of Students (NUS) to provide insurance to the growing number of students, Endsleigh remains the leading provider of insurance to students.

With nearly forty years of experience, staff are on hand to provide policies tailored to the needs of each individual student. We are also easily accessible if anything should go amiss locally throughout the year.

Included in the standard Endsleigh specialist student policy:

  • A minimum of £2,500 cover for the contents of a student's room.
  • Cover for desk top computers.
  • Cover against theft even if there is no evidence of forced or violence entry.
  • 24-hour helpline, provides advice and counselling on health, drugs, contraception, debt, housing, legal and welfare matters.
  • Death by accident of parent /guardian up to £5,000.
  • Loss or damage to library books (£150), college property on loan (£250) and landlord's property (£5,000).
  • Theft of money from your room up to £50.
  • Injury by mugging, assault, road accidents up to £50,000.
  • Personal legal liability - £1,000,000.

Endsleigh also offers students the following additional cover options:

  1. Accidental damage to possessions.
  2. Vacation top up cover (included free for halls of residence).
  3. Mobile phone cover.
  4. Laptop cover, including outside of a student room.
  5. Replacement locks or keys.
  6. Up to £25,000 cover for legal action within the UK and Western Europe.
  7. Cover for items taken out of the room including camera and jewellery.
