Van drivers should remember to ensure their give accurate details when applying for insurance cover otherwise they could face trouble when they make a claim.
The Association of British Insurers claims that many motorists could face being blacklisted by insurance companies simply because they have failed to notify insurers about a past claim or medical condition such as diabetes.
Chris Jordan, managing director of brokers the Insurance Bureau, told the Daily Mirror that often people simply neglect to remember crucial details when applying for insurance.
"There are hundreds of thousands of people who have difficulty getting insurance," Mr Jordan added.
"Most of them are not criminals. They were merely silly. They forgot to mention a past claim or thought it unimportant."
