Insurers are warning that stressed out skiers are running the risk of getting injured on the piste.

A survey of regular skiers and snowboarders revealed that the annoying habits of less considerate winter sports enthusiasts are a major bone of contention.

Angry skiers are more likely to have accidents and more likely to have to claim on their travel insurance.

"Stress has become an inevitable part of everyday life for most of us, but holidays provide that time out that we all need to wind down," said Paul Whymark of Churchill, which commissioned the research.

"It's worrying that not everyone is able to leave their stress behind them meaning that their tempers on holiday lead to disputes on the mountain side."

Winter sports are among the more dangerous holiday pursuits and getting a decent Travel Insurance package is essential.
