Travel Insurance crucial for World Cup fans

Anyone planning to travel to Germany for the World Cup must make sure they have purchased travel insurance.

Online price comparison site insuresupermarket.com is reminding supporters that Travel Insurance is vital for any trip and could help to protect against emergency medical treatment or stolen baggage.

Richard Mason, director at insuresupermarket.com, explained: "We expect up to a third of those travelling to this year’s World Cup to go without travel insurance, which is a very significant number of people putting themselves at unnecessary risk."

Around 100,000 England supporters are likely to be heading to Germany for the tournament and fans are also being reminded that many insurers will not pay out claims if they involve injuries incurred under the influence of alcohol
