Two out of five UK holidaymakers travel either without adequate insurance, or none at all according to recent research.

This worrying statistic suggests that the message about how important Travel Insurance policies are is failing to get through to consumers.

The same figures suggested that one in seven UK holidaymakers were only planning to buy Travel Insurance if they were holidaying for more than a week.

"Travel Insurance is not a luxury and yet people are still not taking out adequate cover," said Paul Rayner of First Rate Travel Services, the company that commissioned the research.

Travel Insurance is a vital component when planning a holiday and rescue holidaymakers from all manner of unfortunate incidents.
