British holidaymakers could be wasting as much £900 million each year on travel insurance, industry research has revealed.
A study by the British Market Research Bureau found that more than a third (39 per cent) of adults in Britain who go on holiday more than three times a year still buy Travel Insurance each time they go away.
Just over 61 million trips made abroad by UK holidaymakers last year, marking the fact that Britons are holidaying more than ever before.
However it is felt that many are spending needlessly, with 6.7 million people buying Travel Insurance each time they travel, despite cheaper options available.
Frequent travellers can save money by purchasing annual Travel Insurance packages.
