Brits are among the most experienced travelling nations but they are still advised to consider the value of Holiday Insurance cover.
A new survey, conducted by travel website ugogo.co.uk, reveals that by 2020 British holidaymakers will make more than 100 million trips per year, reports the Telegraph.
However, despite being widely travelled, many Brits are not too good at pinpointing the geographical locations of their favourite holiday hotspots. A total of 60 per cent of the 2,000 people involved in the survey failed to accurately show where they had been on holiday last year using a map.
There was also confusion about other popular long-haul destinations, with 38 per cent suggesting that Singapore was in China and 29 per cent believed that New Zealand formed a part of Australia.
However, both experienced and novice travellers are urged to make sure they shop around for the best deals on Holiday Insurance before leaving home, in order to ensure they are protected against unexpected events such as lost baggage.
