The hot weather means that many people are already looking forward to their summer getaway; however, travellers are being warned to make sure they pack the Holiday Insurance.
Forgetting to purchase the appropriate Holiday Insurance could mean two weeks of intended relaxation becoming costly and stressful. A recent study by Direct Line Travel Insurance estimated that 12 per cent of British holidaymakers are the victims of crime, whilst the Guardian reports that emergency medical treatment costs are escalating.
Holiday Insurance can help protect travellers against delays, cancellations, injury or theft. With the cost of being treated for a potential heart attack whilst in Spain now around £35,000, it makes sense to buy a good value Holiday Insurance product.
"Anyone who goes anywhere without insurance is just mad," said Tommy Graham, manager of Sphere Travel in Montgomery Street.
"I've just done a course on travel insurances and they gave us horrific examples of people who didn't take out insurance. Take America for example. If someone had gone to America without insurance and they needed medical treatment you could be talking £60,000 very easily."
