More Brits are planning to travel to take advantage of overseas property deals.

Alternative holiday hotspots such as Egypt are offering Brits the chance to cash in on a growing property market, according to new figures.

Egypt's close location to Europe means that travel is easy for wannabe holiday home owners and flights cost just £300 per return ticket.

"We expect the property market in Egypt to build substantially over the next five years," said Nagi Azab of Pyramisa Egypt, who will be exhibiting at the forthcoming Homebuyer Show in London's Docklands.

He added: "The market is flourishing at the moment and has been for the past few years with capital growth exceeding 100 per cent in some areas such as the Red Sea Riviera.

"Demand is constantly growing and with many of the resorts and cities imposing building restrictions, supply will be controlled, keeping the market buoyant for a good few years yet at least."
