Pet Insurance comes to the supermarket

22/05/2004

Pet Insurance is now among the many financial products available at your local supermarket.

With the cost of caring for a pet going up all the time, more and more people are considering tailored insurance policies for their furry companions.

Pet Insurance offers a means of avoiding the headache of vet bills if your pet falls ill or gets involved in some kind of accident.

Asda has become the latest company to begin offering Pet Insurance.

The US-owned supermarket is hoping that this new offering will be a hit with customers.

Asda's plans to roll out Pet Insurance in 40 of its stores comes just weeks after the company launched a trial of life insurance products and the launch of motor, home and Travel Insurance across all of its 265 stores nationwide.

The company's rivals already offer a range of financial services products from Home Insurance to banking services.
