The UK's Pet Insurance market is set to experience significant growth, leading industry figures have claimed.
Britain is a nation of animal lovers and it seems more and more of us are taking special care of our four legged friends.
Thanks to advances in animal health injuries and illnesses to household pets can more easily be remedied - but at a price.
Leading insurers have found that pet owners are worried about vet bills and a more likely than ever to insurer themselves against nasty surprises.
Graham Smith of Legal and General, which launched its own Pet Insurance policy this month, said: "Our research shows the Pet Insurance market to be a significant area of growth for the future.
"Not only will the market size increase, but we also believe that there will be diversification in the routes to market through both direct sales and partnerships."
