Dog swallows conker

A conker has prompted a Lincolnshire man to make a claim on his Pet Insurance.

The animal lover filed the claim with Churchill Insurance.

According to the insurer the claim related to the £200 cost of having a conker removed from his dog's stomach.

The unlucky pooch must have got hungry during conker season

Dogs will of course put pretty much anything in their mouths, which is bad news for owners and bad news insurers.
