New Peugeot set to reduce commuter scooter insurance

Peugeot have launched a new scooter that could help reduce insurance costs for riders.

The new Ludix One DS scooter has a starting price of just £799 and comes with a two-year warranty. The bike weighs just 66kg, making it around a third lighter than most rival scooters and improves fuel economy.

The new model is particularly popular in the caravan and motor home market because of its size and is now rated number four in the latest global scooter sales.

The low purchase price and small 50cc engine means that the scooter belongs to a minimal insurance group.
