Motor Insurance is a must for estate agents as they are more likely to be involved in a car accident, according to new figures.
Research conducted by Churchill Car Insurance estimates that estate agents are twice as likely to be involved in a collision than farmers because of their need to drive in congested areas. The rushing between appointments also means that many estate agents are often too busy watching the clock rather than observing the road.
Darren McCauley, head of Car Insurance at Churchill said: "Estate agents make lots of journeys in their cars during the day - dashing to see clients in urban areas and often parking wherever they can when they arrive."
He added that working in stressful job with long hours can also increase the chances of needing to claim on Motor Insurance, especially amongst doctors and community nurses who are more likely to be tired when driving and become distracted.
