Drivers are being urged to make sure they get the best deals on Motor Insurance premiums by adopting a number of simple measures.
Insurance provider Privilege believes that many drivers could dramatically reduce their Motor Insurance costs by considering factors such as Car Insurance groups when buying a new vehicle, removing unnecessary named drivers from current policies as well as considering increasing excesses.
Instead of have a number of named drivers on a policy, motorists could reduce their costs by simply adding them as 'temporary additional drivers' when you needed.
Drivers should also consider a policy that offers to protect their no claims discount - otherwise a claim could push up their costs significantly.
Security is also a key area that could enable savings. The installation of an immobiliser that is Thatcham-approved could automatically mean a discount on policy costs.
In addition, getting several quotes and using the internet to help find the most suitable polices are likely to ensure that drivers succeed in getting competitive Motor Insurance cover.
