Treat yourself to life insurance peace of mind

Date: Mon, 13 Mar 2006

Spending on life insurance could offer a better return that other so-called "me" spending.

Morgan Stanley Card Index estimated that Brits spent around £7.8 billion in credit card expenditure on personal treats over the last three months – an average of £166 per person.

However, investing that money in life insurance cover could help to provide greater long-term benefits and increase peace of mind for many people.

Patrick Muir, marketing director for the Morgan Stanley credit card said: "Despite reports of a quiet end to 2005 on the high street, our research shows that Britons still found time for the occasional self-indulgent purchase."

Life insurance cover can help to ensure an income for loved ones if the worst was to happen, as well as ensuring that any debts left behind are not passed on to relatives.
