Star signs play part in fixed rate mortgage demand

Star signs could play a role in whether homeowners chose to pick a fixed rate mortgage deal.

Research conducted on behalf of Landlord Mortgages suggests that Taureans, alongside those who fail into Aries, Aquarius and Gemini months, are more likely to look at entering the property market, whereas Cancereans are much more cautious in making investments.

"While sceptics may dismiss astrology as having no basis in fact, this research raised some interesting points," said Lee Grandin, the managing director of Landlord Mortgages who carried out the research.

"The property market traditionally shows the most movement between January and June, which is when the top four star signs for overall property investment occur."

The research also revealed that there is a slight difference in the property purchasing habits of men and women, with Virgo females managing to see the potential in many run-down properties.
