When unemployed with a mortgage it will be very hard to remortgage your property with a different lender to the one that you are currently with as you will not have a regular income. Therefore DSS Tenants mortgages may be an appropriate option.
Given such circumstances you may be able to swap providers or more likely be able to change your mortgage product under the schemes offered by your current mortgage provider if your situation is considered positive in a number of other factors, for example, if the loan to value of your current home is around the 40% or less level. It may be that your current lender would consider different options if your credit history with them was clean and preferably over a long period of time.
Hopefully, you will be able to get back into employment soon and DSS Tenants mortgages will not apply and other high street lenders may consider your new circumstances although this is usually after a set period of time in your new role.
If you are currently interested in the benefits of DSS Tenants or simply want to discuss your situation further please click here and fill in our short mortgage quote form.
