Life insurance in bricks and mortar

Date: 18 Feb 05 Analysis

With the cost of living rising all the time many people may not be able to afford life insurance policies or other long-term investments.

In fact more and more people are looking to their home to provide security for them in old age.

A fully-paid for home has enough value in terms of equity to pay for most retirements.

While analysts would warn that relying on one single investment to tide you over is probably unwise, with so much competition for your wage packet every month it's perhaps not surprising that long-term investments often get brushed aside.
