Age need not affect attractiveness

Joanna Lumley is still "Ab Fab" according to the results of a new study of sexy older celebrities.

The actress has been named as the all-time sexiest female star over the age of 50, despite strong competition from rivals Helen Mirren and Goldie Hawn.

The survey of 2,000 people was commissioned by financial services provider Clerical Medical and stresses the need for life insurance for the elderly.

The top older guys included 76-year Bond star Sean Connery, with Pierce Brosnan in second place and Harrison Ford, aged 63, being voted into third place.

"It’s no surprise that Joanna Lumley came top as she looks fabulous for her age," said, Clerical Medical managing director John Hiew.

"But if people want to reach her age and still look that good, it’s important that they put some money aside now so they can afford to maintain their looks well into their old age," he added.
