Parents in Northern Ireland should shop around to get the best deal for their children's Car Insurance.
Although around 1.78 million parents in the UK pay their offspring's insurance, research shows that 25 per cent often obtain just one quote - only 15 per cent examined more than five quotes.
Sainsbury's Bank estimates that 193,000 parents are likely to be paying over £1,000 in Car Insurance premiums for their children.
"With some parents deciding to pay the premiums for their children's own insurance policies as well as their own, they could find insuring all the family's cars an expensive exercise," Joanne Mallon, Car Insurance manager, Sainsbury's Bank said:
"Despite this, many don't shop around to make sure that they are paying fair and competitive premiums."
