Growing divorce rates means that many single female drivers are looking for more competitive rates on Women's Car Insurance policies.
Research from the GMAC-RFC predicts that there will be growing demand for non-confirming financial products such as mortgages and insurance because of the impact divorce/separation can have on credit histories.
Relationship agency Relate estimates that January is the commonest time for marriages to break-up and lead to divorce. This often leaves single women with complicated financial situations and a need to cut back on outgoings shopping around for cheaper Women's Car Insurance could help to do this.
"There are still many misconceptions about the profile of the non-conforming borrower. The reality is that life changing events, in particular divorce or separation, are a major driver in becoming a non-conforming borrower," said Jeff Knight, director of marketing at GMAC-RFC.
