Speeding epidemic could drive Car Insurance premiums

Drivers could see their Car Insurance premiums rising over the next few years following research showing that speeding has reached epidemic proportions.

A survey by the RAC revealed that more than half of British motorists break the speed limit on a regular basis.

Most drivers appear to view speeding as not a very serious crime.

But this lax attitude could have an impact on Car Insurance premiums, as getting caught speeding is likely to result in an increase when you renew your policy.

Road safety campaigners have warned that speeding costs lives and urged drivers to take more care.
