Don't worry about Car Insurance over the festive period

Wed, 30 Nov 2005

Shopping around for the best Car Insurance deal could help ease other financial pressures this Christmas.

Credit monitoring agency CreditExpert.co.uk estimate that three in four people admit to worrying about money during the holiday season, whilst one in ten are still struggling to pay for the previous year's festivities.

Thirty-two per cent admit that the pressure to buy expensive gifts can force up spending, whilst 34 per cent expressed concern over the cost of last minute panic buying.

"Christmas is a notoriously expensive time of year and the cost seems to increase year-on-year with the average Briton spending £813 last year on presents, going out, food, drink and decorations," said Jim Hodgkins, managing director of CreditExpert.co.uk.

"It’s not surprising that so many of us worry about how we will pay for the festivities and are concerned about our credit situation in the run-up to the big day."

However, saving money on Car Insurance could mean that little extra saving could go a long way when it comes to paying for Christmas.
