Christmas is a busy time of year but drivers are being urged not to forget to renew their Car Insurance cover.
Privilege Insurance is hoping that renewal notices will not be delayed or lost in the Christmas post and they expect their practice of sending out notices 21 days before a customer's policy expires will ensure drivers have enough time to renew or replace their cover.
Failure to renew could prove a costly and illegal oversight, especially given that there are around 34,000 accidents on UK roads during December and January.
"Christmas can be a busy time and, amidst all the excitement, it is easy to overlook chores such as renewing your Car Insurance. But forgetting to do so can have serious and expensive consequences," said Ian Parker, managing director of Privilege Insurance.
He added: "A quick call to your insurer, and perhaps one or two others for comparison, will enable you to relax and enjoy the rest of the festivities knowing that you will be covered should you be unfortunate enough to be involved in an accident come the new year."
