Cut debts with Women's Car Insurance savings

Tue, 10 Jan 2006

Female motorists may be able to save on their Women's Car Insurance and cover some of those expensive post-Christmas debts.

Debt Counsellors are hoping that shopping around and saving on vital products such as insurance will help consumers to tackle their debt problems. A new three-step plan which priorities general economising, credit card debit reassement as well as sensible spending should help cover the recent festive overspend.

“These are basic rules to follow to stop debts getting out of control and it’s essential at this time of year that people get to grips with their spending," said John Porter, a senior counsellor with the Debt Counsellors.

He added: "If someone has overspent in the name of a merry Christmas it’s forgivable, but they should rein in their spending to ensure next Christmas isn’t a miserable one. Our simple three-point Debt Help Plan can help with that but as ever, those worried about debt should seek professional help."
