Car Insurance from your mobile

Thu, 10 Nov 2005

Mobile phones are set to play an increased role in how firms sell and market products such as Car Insurance.

Just 20 years ago mobile phones were seen as expensive and unnecessary, however a recent survey conducted by provider O2 suggests that there are now more than 63 million mobiles phones in the UK and they could be a vital selling tool for many businesses.

A number of high-profile companies such as Disney, Google and Coca-Cola are already planning ways in which they can increase their target audience and exploit the emerging mobile technology, reports Vnunet.

Insurance provider Norwich Union is also looking to develop a mobile version of its website so that potential customers can get Car Insurance quotes whilst on the move and it is likely that other companies in the Motor Insurance industry will be keen to offer alternative access to their services.
