Haven’t passed your test yet?

By insuring with iKube whilst you learn to drive means you can start building your no claims bonus right now, instead of waiting until you pass your test.

What’s more…iKube don’t charge extra when you pass your test (others insurers do).

You may add a parent to the policy for no additional premium.

How can iKube find me cheaper car insurance?

  • iKube incentivise young drivers to stay off the road between the hours of 11:00pm – 5:00am, as there is a bigger risk of road accidents.
  • This means, iKube can afford to pass on rewards of lower car insurance, to our 17-25 year old customers.

Need to know even more?

  • After you have bought the iKube young drivers car insurance policy, you simply sit back and wait to be contacted by a representative of iKube. It’s not unusual for this to happen the same day.
  • The representative will arrange for the Global Positioning System (GPS) device to be fitted to your car by a qualified engineer.  There is a box charge of £249 which covers the annual monitoring and installation.  This fee will be included within your quote or premium.
  • The date, time and place of the installation will be at your convenience – it could be at your home or place of work. Don’t worry, you are still insured to drive your car before the engineer calls.
  • The iKube unit is a small hand sized device. The installation is very quick.
  • Normally it is installed behind your dashboard; this will not damage your car in any way, it is designed to be removed at the expiry of your insurance policy.
  • The iKube unit uses GPS technology in order to transmit a signal to advise the insurance company when the vehicle is driven between the hours of 11.00pm - 5.00am. If you drive during these hours (known as Red Hours) you will incur an additional premium of £100.
  • If you change your car, the car must be made available for the engineers to remove the unit and install it in your new vehicle. The iKube unit will remain the property of the insurance company at all times.  A transfer charge may apply.
  • When a policy is terminated the car must be made available to the engineers to remove the unit.  A removal charge may apply.
  • Your car will remain fully covered at all times during the life of the policy, even if you drive the car at night. (If you drive at night, you’ll simply be charged £100 per night).
  • You can also check your journey information and vehicle location on the service provider’s website.
  • The policy is subject to terms & conditions that will be summarised with your quotation and provided in writing at the sale of the policy.

How it works.

  • An iKube unit is installed in your vehicle which tracks whether you drive the car in Red Hours (11:00pm – 5:00am).
  • Driving in the Red Hours will incur an additional premium of £100.
