What is Property Owners Liability?
Property Owners Liability is a cover available as standard with our policies and covers you against injury or damage suffered by third parties whilst visiting the property you own. An example of an incident where a Property Owners claim might arise is where a postal worker slips on a broken piece of pathway whilst at your property.
What does loss of rent cover?
Loss of Rent is included as standard with all residential property insurance. It protects you if your property is made uninhabitable, due to one of the insured perils, such as fire or flood.
What cover is available?
Our policies cover the standard perils such as fire, lightning, explosion, earthquake, storm, and flood, escape of water / oil, subsidence, theft and malicious damage. Optional coverage can include accidental damage, terrorism and enhanced legal cover.
What is “index Linking”?
Index Linking means that each year the insurance company will automatically increase the sums insured under your policy to reflect any inflationary increases to the costs of rebuilding your property. This should help to prevent you from being underinsured in the event of a claim.
