Our people.

We’d be nowhere without our people, as they’re the ones who keep customers happy, reduce fraud or keep our organisation running smoothly.

If you really want an insight into working here, they’re the best ones to tell you all about it.

Emma Wellfair.

Fraudulent claims.

Before coming to Endsleigh I was at school and when it came to choosing between going to university and getting a job, a friend mentioned Endsleigh. At first I wasn’t sure if I was making the right decision choosing work over uni, but I’ve loved it from the moment I started – and it’s only got better. It’s my role to investigate if there are any concerns about a claim. We’ve recently seen a real increase in fraudulent claims; it’s a really interesting job – especially when you see some of the things people try to get away with! A typical day will see me taking calls from clients, phoning people, dealing with the necessary post and investigating reports. I’m 19 and, for this age, my salary is really good. My colleagues are lovely and the environment and managers are great. I make use of the on-site gym and also go running with a friend from work around the country lanes. And we have a social committee, and do things like a trip to London to go Christmas shopping! It’s hard work too, of course: you do have targets to meet. But it’s also a place of teamwork and fun.

Krishan Patel.

Management Accountant.

I’ve been here 18 months and I’m studying for my Chartered Accountancy. Before this I completed my degree in Accountancy and Economics and did a few temp jobs. I heard about the job through an agency, who recommended it to me. It ticked all the boxes! A typical day involves producing monthly management accounts, forecasts and budget reports. When I’m not working I’m using the on-site gym and playing football at lunch, which I do three times a week. I play tennis as well. It’s good as it breaks up the day and I’m interacting with a great bunch of people who I have a lot in common with. On the work side of things, it’s very interesting seeing how the theory I learnt at university compares to the reality of work. Especially when there are deadlines involved! In fact, being able to manage your time well is a huge bonus. If you can do that, I’d definitely recommend it. After all, the work is interesting and there are great facilities, benefits and training.

Sharon Cremin.

Senior Claims Handler.

I’ve been here 22 years. I started as a Claims Handler and then I moved to Fraud, where I help train the team. I’m known as ‘The Fraud Queen’! I’ve stayed here because I love the variety and the work still interests me – I’m never bored. What’s more, I work in a strong team in a good department for a great employer. The pension scheme is one of the best and the sports facilities are fabulous. I love the flexible working too; when I ran the London Marathon I came in early so that I could take a two-hour ‘lunch break’ and train. A typical day involves finding the evidence to back up a claim. Every claim is different and I am constantly surprised. When it comes to fraud, all walks of life are involved. The biggest challenge of my role is trying to obtain evidence of fraud. Fraudsters are quite clever – the challenge is to be one step ahead! I would and have recommended someone to work here - my brother in law’s girlfriend
